What: F.T.P: For the People

Where: San Francisco – Galeria de la Raza

Galeria de la Raza presents, F.T.P: For the People, an exhibition that situates itself in contemporary issues of systematic oppressions happening across America. This is the last weekend to pop on over to the Galeria to view the month long installment  coming to an end of works and pieces. The artists presented in this exhibition offer a critique to the harsh realities of systematic oppression and inequalities that exists in our society, which make it hard for our communities to be able to survive and thrive. The exhibiting works create a platform that honors our struggle and cultural resistance in the fight against the institutional dehumanization of our peoples over body, mind and soul.


What: The Guardsmen Presents: Havana Nights

Where:Bently Reserve – San Francisco

When: Friday June 10th at 7:00PM

The Guardsman (a non-profit that provides campership and scholarship programs to at-risk youth) will have night of dancing, music, live entertainment, games and prizes.

There will be salsa lessons, cigar rolling, all for a great cause. Tickets are still available

Womennow presents this FREE event to the public. Come and check out what the culture from this mesmerizing country is about. There will be makeovers by professional artists, photo booths, traditional Indian food, and much more!


What: Art In The Street

Where: Dimond District in Oakland

When: Sunday June 12th from 12:00PM – 6:00PM

Come and check out art from local Bay Area artists, as well as local street vendors like: Hella Crafty, Oakland writer Jesse Byrd, Tu Tienda Azteca and more. There will also be live music, and food. The event is located off 580 East at the corner of MacArthur Blvd & Champion Street. Check out the facebook event page for more info.


What: Brotherly Love – A Four Course Tasting Menu (A Philadelphia Cuisine Experience)

Where: The HUB – 3380 Vincent Road, Pleasant Hill

When: Tuesday June 14th from 6:30PM- 9:00PM

Join Edible Productions Chef Jesse Gomez and Experience Designer Michael Arellano on a delicious collaboration with Chef Armando Tam and Bobby Carrillo. The guests will indulge in a four-course tasting menu based on Philadelphia cuisine. Tickets are still available.
